#NCCRWomen portrait - Stefanie Jonas
Portrait of Stefanie Jonas, Professor at the Department of Biology, ETH Zurich

The NCCR RNA & Disease is committed to promoting equal opportunities and would like to highlight two important initiatives with a new video:
Maternity Support - Funding for a technical support person in the last trimester of pregnancy to ensure continuity of research projects during the end of pregnancy and maternity leave.
Parental leave - Up to six weeks paid parental leave for partners to encourage the sharing of caring responsibilities and enable mothers to make a smoother transition back to work.
These measures contribute to a more equal academic environment and support long-term structural change. While they cannot eliminate all challenges, they help to ensure that academic careers remain accessible to all researchers - regardless of gender or family commitments.
